Job Description

The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager to join our team. As a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving commercial motor vehicle safety, the CVSA understands the importance of strong relationships with our stakeholders. In this role, you will have the opportunity to cultivate and manage relationships with our industry partners and help drive our mission forward.

As the Account Manager at CVSA, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of industry accounts, building and maintaining relationships, and identifying opportunities for collaboration and partnership. You will work closely with our internal team, commercial motor vehicle safety officials, and industry representatives to ensure the successful implementation of initiatives and programs.

At CVSA, we believe that collaboration between government and industry is essential for improving road safety and saving lives. As an Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in fostering partnerships, managing expectations, and supporting the growth and development of commercial motor vehicle safety initiatives.


Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of industry accounts and serve as the primary point of contact.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including industry representatives and commercial motor vehicle safety officials.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership.
  • Develop account plans and strategies to achieve targets and objectives.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings and presentations with stakeholders.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure successful implementation of initiatives and programs.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on account activities, progress, and results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in account management or sales, preferably in the transportation or safety industry.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of the commercial motor vehicle industry and relevant regulations.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends and opportunities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other relevant tools.
