Job Description

Cornerstone Franciscan Ministries is a newly-formed non-profit organization in the Baltimore/Washington area. For over 10 years, the ministries of Cornerstone existed at St Francis Episcopal Parish and Community Center. As of 2023, we separated the missions into a new organization in order to ensure their continued success and allow for future growth.

The Services Division of Cornerstone provides accounting, finance and administrative services to faith-based organizations. Many organizations do not require a full-time bookkeeper or don’t have the finance, accounting, HR, and specialized finance resources available to adequately support their mission in a cost-effective manner. Cornerstone provides all these services to our partner organizations while providing financial professionals full-time career opportunities.

We are looking an accounts payable missioner to join our growing team. The duties will include some or all of the following for multiple organizations:

1) Processing of accounts payable invoices, including coding and entering of invoices into QuickBooks Online.

2) Processing of Credit Card transactions.

3) Setup and maintenance of vendor account information.

4) Participation in weekly disbursement processes.

5) Digital filing of paperwork

6) Performing reconciliations of vendor accounts and ad-hoc analysis, as needed.

7) Performing monthly closing activities.

The successful candidate will possess:

A desire to take the next step in their financial career using their experience, knowledge, talent, and skills to serve the ministries and mission of faith-based organizations

Experience with accounts payable, preferably in a non-profit context

Strong computer skills, including established proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Excel, Windows, and Chrome

An interest in financial processes and their continuous improvement

Experience in successfully operating in a remote work environment, in a highly accurate and efficient manner

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
