Messina is assisting our client, a rapidly growing specialized healthcare services organization headquartered in Louisville, with their search for a Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist. This is a hybrid role (90-95% remote)! Candidates must reside near Louisville, KY (driving distance).

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

• Works closely with the Biologic Team Lead to help streamline the biologic process, billing, and collection
• Communicates with providers, nurses, managers, and patients to track Billing for the biologics process
• Communicates on the telephone professionally and pleasantly. Efficiently screens and directs calls and make appointments as necessary for the biologics process, if required
• Runs reports to track biologics Billing and maintains integrity of patient billing records
• Collecting all necessary documentation to complete timely and accurate submission of prior authorizations for biologics, as necessary
• Interacts with clients, insurance companies, sales representatives, providers, and patients, as necessary
• Follow HIPAA policies, billing and follow up procedures

Requirements:

· High School Diploma

· Minimum 2 years of recent AR experience in a healthcare setting

· Proficient with Microsoft applications

· EMR experience – 2 years

· Proficient in denial management

· Experience working Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid plans.

· Experience working in fast- paced, high volume, multi-provider practice.

· Understanding of Revenue Cycle including admission, billing, payments, and denials.

· Hybrid schedule (90-95% remote)
