Senior Actuarial Analyst, Valuation who will:
Analyze and interpret historical data, claim patterns, and other relevant information to estimate IBNR reserves for various lines of insurance.
Develop and maintain actuarial models and methods to accurately estimate IBNR reserves, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular actuarial valuations to assess the financial impact of IBNR reserves on the company’s balance sheet and financial statements.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in IBNR estimation methodologies, and implement improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Monitor and analyze emerging trends in claims, legal environment, and medical advancements, and proactively provide insights on their potential impact on IBNR reserves.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and rating agencies, to ensure compliance and transparency in reporting IBNR reserves
Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial, Finance, or another related field of study
Successful completion of 4+ exams of the Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation
5+ years of healthcare actuarial experience
2+ years of actuarial experience
Experience with writing queries in SQL or another programming language
Demonstrated experience applying project management skills in data-related and financial analysis projects
Preferred qualifications:
Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation
Fellow or Associate in the Society of Actuaries (FSA or ASA)
This role specially supports valuation and it is preferred that you have 2+ years of valuation experience
2+ years of commercial pricing experience
