Position Overview:

Join a leading electrical contractor as an On-Call, Administrative Assistant who will be responsible for assisting Human Resources and Payroll with administrative duties associated with onboarding new employees for our Storm Task Force.


Base Location/Travel Requirements:

  • Office assignment: This is a remote position.
  • Travel to York office as necessary.

Essential Functions/Duties:

  • Send paperwork electronically to new employee thru JotForm or DocuSign.
  • Enter new hire information into the HRIS & Payroll systems.
  • Make any returning employees already in the system active and determine if updated paperwork needs to be sent.
  • Enter pre-employment queries into FMCSA Clearinghouse and monitor query status to ensure they are completed timely.
  • Run new driver Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs) and score MVRs to determine if driver can be approved for company vehicles.
  • Communicate with new employees, Payroll, and Storm field leadership as needed regarding any missing paperwork or driver issues.
  • Run E-Verify & import all new hire paperwork into BambooHR in a timely manner.

Education, Skills & Experience

Required:

  • High School diploma.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Excellent typing skills: accuracy is imperative.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced office setting.

Preferred:

  • Bamboo HR experience.
  • Viewpoint – Vista experience.
  • JotForm or DocuSign experience
