Position Summary:
Under close supervision and guidance of the Admission Services Manager and the Deputy Director, the Admission Operations and Process Improvement Specialist provides exceptional customer service primarily through online support (email, chatbot, and other forms of self-service support), educating prospective students, parents, current applicants, and the general public about UCLA's first-year and transfer admission requirements, policies, and processes. The Specialist exercises professional judgment in reviewing, evaluating, and ranking applications for admission, using established guidelines to recommend applicants. In addition to these responsibilities, the Specialist contributes to operational improvements by conducting analysis, troubleshooting issues, and making process modifications within limited scope. This includes improving workflows, automating tasks, and ensuring operational efficiency while maintaining high service standards.
Salary & Compensation: *UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. - Demonstrated knowledge of Windows based applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook (including mail-merge). (Required)
- Demonstrated experience using digital imaging system such as ImageNow. (Required)
- Working knowledge of Customer Relations Management (CRM) systems. (Preferred)
- Knowledge of Undergraduate Admission (UA) office processes including: Undergraduate Admission General Edit, UC Application for Undergraduate Admission, UCLA Admissions Management System data and operations, UCLA admission requirements, and UCLA Degree Audit System and UC transfer articulation rules. (Preferred)
Education, Licenses, Certifications, & Professional Affiliations:
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Required)
