Job Description

The Bilingual Service Coordinator will work with our English and Spanish speaking clients to assist them with needed services. While considered a remote position, the individual must live in the Columbus Indiana area in order to complete in-home visits 2-3 days per weeks. The employee then works from their home and not in a designated office.

The Bilingual Service Coordinator (Bilingual SC) assists families with a child age birth to 3 years of age who has been diagnosed with a developmental delay or a diagnosis that has a high probability to lead to a developmental delay. The Bilingual SC works with them in accessing community-based services that are individually tailored to meet the families' needs and are provided in the child's natural environment. The Bilingual SC develops the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), serves as the family's advocate and as the initial resources for Early Intervention Services. The Bilingual SC will conduct in-home assessments, lead the IFSP and teams which include, but are not limited to, medical team, educational resources, and other community-based supports, through the processes of problem-solving and negotiating the system of resources available for the child and the family.
