BSA Officer – Full Time - Remote

SUMMARY:

The BSA (Banking Secrecy Act) Officer position is responsible for serving as the point of contact for branch and department staff for BSA, AML, OFAC. Principle duties include managing the BSA team, conducting all regulatory BSA, AML, and OFAC monitoring and investigation, and making regulatory reports and filings in a timely and compliant manner. Collaboration with internal departments and management, local police departments, and state, federal, and other government agencies will be conducted as needed. In addition, this position will manage risk through collaboration with managers and staff to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Lead, train, and develop a team of highly skilled BSA Analysts.
  • Day to day management of compliance with BSA, AML, & OFAC, including review of daily reports, CTRs, and SARs.
  • Responsible for the execution of the Credit Union’s BSA/AML/OFAC Compliance Program.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of laws and regulations that impact the Credit Union’s compliance requirement, with a specific emphasis on the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and OFAC.
  • Completes bi-weekly update and scanning of FinCEN 314(a) lists and required response reporting.
  • Management and monitoring of AML software and system integrity.
  • Collaborates with training team to deliver BSA, OFAC, and Patriot Act awareness programs.
  • Prepares periodic reporting regarding the status of the BSA program.
  • Review, update, and develop policies, standards, and procedures in accordance with laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to BSA, AML, and OFAC.
  • Collaborate and partner with the Fraud team relating to active BSA investigations and case.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 to 7 years of similar or related experience
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • BSA and AML certifications recognized in the financial services industry strongly preferred
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required
