Position Description

Overall Responsibilities:

The Business Systems Analyst works with business experts to document requirements, optimize business processes, conduct thorough testing and validation via data analytics and reporting assistance, follow IT methods and processes, and provide support to the business for implemented solutions.

Essential Job Functions:

• Works closely with business stakeholders to gather, refine, and translate requirements into Power BI data models and reports, ensuring they effectively address business needs and supporting development teams in their implementation.
• Collaborate with plant, office, and field personnel to evaluate the feasibility and necessity for new functionality across current systems, fostering cross-functional alignment and synergy.
• Participate in daily Scrums to support project flow and governance model
• Proactively identifies business requirements and proposes Power BI solutions aimed at streamlining processes, reducing operational costs, or enhancing profit margins.
• Provides support and training to business users on Power BI functionality, data visualization best practices, and report interpretation to maximize user adoption and proficiency.
• Maintain flow charts, requirements documents, training materials and all other documentation of current systems
• Maintain a high level of education on latest industry trends
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field required
• 2-4+ years of experience working as a Business Systems Analyst in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Experience with ERP software, IFS preferred
• Experience working in Agile environment preferred
• Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong fluency with Power BI reporting and filtering.
• Experience with basic T-SQL to query tables and form aggregates.
• Experience in Sales Automation, eCommerce, Manufacturing, finance, configuration management, or Logistics a plus
• Experience in Building Products industry preferred

Physical Requirements

Tolerance for sitting long periods of time. Possess finger dexterity to write, type, and use a calculator. Maintain adequate vision to view small print and computer terminal. Ability to speak and hear, walk throughout facilities with occasional light lifting (25 pounds), stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching with hands and arms required. Ability to travel between multiple facilities as required to perform core job duties.
