As a Civil Engineer Trainee, you will participate in a 12-month training period during which time the incumbent will be trained to perform the duties of a Civil Engineer (Hydraulic). The work products produced are reviewed by the supervisor before being issued or released.
This position is involved in performing journey-level engineering and technical review of permit applications. The incumbent will perform a variety of duties involving the regulation of the facilities to ensure compliance with the Commonwealth's Rules and Regulations, permits and environmental laws. You will also review applications for General and Individual NPDES Permits. Additionally you will develop and maintains individual and general NPDES permits. Develops fact sheets and permit documentation for permits using established laws, regulations, policies, procedures and engineering judgment while maintaining management information systems for permit tracking and project locations.
