Entry Salary: $48,000
Location: REMOTE

The position is open to all applicants that meet the minimum qualifications below.

The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is seeking highly qualified applicants for their full-time Compliance Specialist position in the Office of Workforce Development (OWD). Subsequent to an initial training period requiring in-person shadowing and learning, this position will be remote. However, travel related to training, in-person meetings, technical assistance and professional development will be required as necessary, throughout the year, with the expectation of these occurring as frequently as monthly.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Compliance Specialist will support the compliance and policy team with desktop reviews of local office activities, as well as be responsible for reviewing employer account requests in the State’s Labor Exchange System. This position is primarily a support position that performs several administrative tasks, across several projects. The right candidate must grasp and apply policy and procedures quickly. Individuals will ensure employer accounts are validated and will work daily reports monitoring account activity. This position provides a high level of prompt customer service to staff, as well as external customers needing assistance with their accounts. The ideal candidate is someone with attention to detail and has a keen eye for identifying potential issues to ensure the integrity of the State’s Labor Exchange System.


Additional duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Reviews employer accounts in the State’s Labor Exchange System ensuring timely processing of accounts.
  • Reviews, monitors, and ensures compliance with assigned program area’s policies and procedures to include answering inquiries in the policy mailbox from local staff.
  • Performs desktop reviews of staff activities within the labor exchange system to support the compliance team in yearly audits.
  • Reviews daily reports of employer account activity, contacting company officials to validate account requests.
  • Works with local staff contacted by employers requesting access.
  • Responsible for approving Third Party Agent requests for access and management of employer accounts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Associate degree or equivalent work experience (e.g. two years of experience in a compliance or auditing role conducting administrative research to determine compliance with policies and procedures).


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) and related Wagner-Peyser (WP) Act.
  • Experience using the State’s Labor Exchange System, The WorkSource Georgia Portal.
  • Experience delivering employment services under WIOA.
