Coordinator, Youth Apprentice Success (Part-Time)
100% Remote in California; Must be a California Resident, and available to attend in person meetings in San Bernardino County
The Foundation's Collaborative Impact Department, through the LAUNCH Apprenticeship Network, seeks a part-time Coordinator to play a critical role in the department's success by supporting apprentice success as high school students transition into registered pre-apprenticeship and youth apprenticeship programs.
What You’ll Do
This position represents an exciting opportunity to help to provide a wide range of administrative and outreach support working with a local K-12 school district and community college district, as well as industry employers, government agencies, funders, and more. The coordinator’s support will help with initiatives that focus on the expansion of new and innovative pre-apprenticeships and registered apprenticeships as pathways for high school students to secure middle-skill jobs in California and addressing racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic disparities in the labor market.
What You Bring
  • Work with assigned K-12 district(s) and community college district(s) to coordinate outreach events, information sessions, and presentations about pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship options for high school students.
  • Conduct outreach to high school students, teachers, counselors and administrative staff to recruit participants into pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs.
  • Be a liaison and advocate for high school students to support their success and entry into apprenticeship programs, which may include identifying and enrolling in dual/concurrent enrollment.
  • Develop relationships with high school students to maintain status, records, and be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills to build trust and transparency.
  • Coordinate and provide resources for participants.
  • Coordinate communication among associations, stakeholders, and team members to foster collaboration and connections between partners.
  • Maintain proper documentation of participants with the highest regard for confidentiality.
  • Compile information for the timely preparation of reports and distribute to appropriate individuals, committees, or stakeholders within established timelines.
  • Provide other general administrative support to LAUNCH staff, including, but not limited to the following:
    • Assist with event and meeting logistics (e.g., invitations and RSVPs, meeting room arrangements, catering, AV requirements, travel coordination).
    • Ordering and managing office supplies or other expenses related to outreach and events.
    • Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends on an as-needed basis
  • Willingness to participate in in-person meetings, events, and convenings.
  • Ability to work remotely and navigate various technology platforms (Zoom, MS Office Suite-Teams, Outlook, Salesforce Lightning and other database programs, Google Suite, etc.).
  • Willingness to participate in in-person meetings, events, and convenings.
  • Relevant work experience, college courses, or a combination of both.
  • Minimum of two (2) + years of related work experience
  • Any experience in an education or non-profit environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with working with high school students and registered apprenticeship a plus.

Budgeted Hourly Pay Range:
$23.00 - $25.00
Final salary and rates are based on education, experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity.
