Baton Rouge, LA: FTS is seeking a dynamic and experienced Controller or a Corporate Controller (CPA) to oversee financial operations of multiple locations and lead an accounting team. The position has a remote option for candidates that are not within a reasonable commute of the office but will be required to travel to the Baton Rouge corporate office on an occasional and as-needed basis. Corporate Controller candidates will possess a CPA while Controller candidates will demonstrate a strong potential to obtain it in order to grow into the Corporate Controller role. Strong preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience in manufacturing and Big-4 audit experience. The salary for each role is dependent on experience (DOE), with a higher salary range offered for the Corporate Controller position meeting all requirements.
What You'll Do
- Prepares monthly financial reports for consolidating companies and analytical review of monthly operating results.

- Establish accounting guidelines and accounting policies & procedures to ensure the integrity of the financial and compliance with U.S. GAAP & other local statutory requirements.
- Establish and maintain efficient Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable processes.
- Establish and maintain a fixed asset accounting process.
- Implements, documents, and maintains adequate and effective internal controls.
- Implements, documents, and maintains adequate and effective processes to improve the monthly close to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Monitor the operating results and budgets and make recommendations regarding cost reductions and profit improvements.
- Directs annual external audit with outside CPA firm.
- Manages accounting staff.
- Ensure financial and accounting personnel are at proper employment levels and that all personnel are trained to meet the requirements of their jobs.
- Perform other duties & projects as assigned.

- 5+ years of professional and progressive responsibility.
- Experience managing a team.
- Public accounting firm experience is a plus.
- Manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
- Experience in a private equity environment is a plus.
- Conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work product.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
