Job Description:

Solar Energy World is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Service Department as a Call Technician. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling inbound calls from customers regarding issues with their residential solar systems, including underperformance or production concerns, as well as inquiries about electric bills. This role requires excellent communication skills, technical proficiency, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

· Handle inbound calls from residential customers experiencing issues with their solar systems.

· Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems related to solar panel performance, inverters, monitoring systems, and other components.

· Provide timely and accurate assistance to customers, including walking them through basic troubleshooting steps over the phone.

· Document all customer interactions, including details of issues reported and steps taken to resolve them, in our customer relationship management (CRM) system.

· Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate department or field service technicians for further investigation and resolution.

· Proactively follow up with customers to ensure their issues have been resolved to their satisfaction.

· Assist customers with questions or concerns regarding their electric bills and provide information on how solar energy impacts their utility costs.

· Collaborate with other departments, including Sales, Operations, and Field Service, to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.

· Prior experience in a customer service or technical support role, preferably in the solar industry or a related field.

· Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn and understand solar energy systems and components.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively explain technical concepts to non-technical customers.

· Proficiency with computer systems and experience using CRM software.

· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
