Position: Data & Administration Coordinator

Organization: Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of NJ, Inc.

Reports to: Director of Impact

Schedule: Part-Time (20-24 hours/week); possibility of Full-Time

Location: Partially remote with ability to attend in-person meetings and/or visit local CASA offices throughout the state for meetings or trainings as needed within approximately 2 hours of East Brunswick, NJ

Physical Requirements and Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work. Ability to remain at a work station/computer terminal for an extended period and exposure to moderate noise (i.e., phone calls, online meetings, computer audio).

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of New Jersey, together with local programs, supports and promotes court-appointed advocacy. Working through community volunteers, local programs advocate on behalf of children and youth involved in child welfare and judicial systems to ensure their well-being and ultimate placement in safe and nurturing permanent homes.

Data & Administration Coordinator Position Summary

· Works under the direction of the Director of Impact, while also providing support to the Director of Administration and Operations and Executive Director as needed. Assists leadership in supporting and collaborating with local programs to provide high-quality work and advocacy. Provides data and administrative support to help learn and improve quality and to drive meaningful decisions about our work.

· The selected Data & Administration Coordinator will hold a position of trust with the child welfare and judicial systems, as well as with the affiliated local CASA programs, their volunteers, and the children they represent. As such, the individual must operate with the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and personal and professional behavior.

· The selected Data & Administration Coordinator should care about data integrity and accuracy and be able to look beyond the data and understand the numbers represent real children and cases.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Data, Quality and Compliance

· Supports the Director of Impact in network data collection and analysis

· Prepares reports, tables and presentations to communicate data findings

· Provides data-driven insights to support quality advocacy efforts

· Assists in developing data protocols for data collection to standardize process and improve efficiencies

· Serves on and support the network Data & Outcomes Subcommittee and other network groups

· Provides data support to CASA of New Jersey staff and network

· Assists in the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process

· Supports and participates in the Collective Impact work that aims to unite the New Jersey CASA programs in an evidence-drive program that improves outcomes and lives

· Supports and participates in the Well-Being Assessment work; this includes assessment data collection and analysis

Administration

· Supports the annual State Contract and ongoing grants management processes

· Creates, collects and analyzes various network surveys and feedback

· Monitors and supports CASA’s online learning management software

· Provides technical assistance to CASA of New Jersey staff and network, which may include support in data collection and/or grants management software or online learning management software

Collaboration and Communication:

· Collaborates with internal teams, network and stakeholders to exchange data, coordinate efforts, and maximize impact

· Communicates effectively orally and in writing with diverse audiences

· Performs all other related duties, as required and requested by Executive Director and/or Director of Impact

PROFESSIONAL CHARACTERISTICS AND REQUIRED SKILLS

· A minimum of two years of prior, relevant, work experience

· Strong proficiency with technology and Microsoft Office software, especially Word, Excel and Outlook; ability to enter data, create charts and formulas and manipulate data in Excel

· Strong attention to detail and open communication skills

· A strong understanding of the importance of data collection, analysis, and reporting

· Ability to understand, communicate and represent data in meaningful ways

· A strong commitment to and passion for the CASA mission

· Results oriented and collaborative

· Ability to ask questions and provide suggestions

· Commitment to personal and professional growth

· An understanding of New Jersey’s foster care system and child abuse and neglect

· Team-oriented person who strongly believes in the group process for consultation and problem-solving, while also able to work independently

Compensation and Benefits

CASA of New Jersey is open to exploring either a part-time or full-time candidate for this role. Compensation and benefits would be dependent on such and commensurate with experience.

The selected candidate will need to complete a Child Abuse Record Information (CARI) check along with a background check.
