Responsibilities:
The purpose of the Data Analyst position is to review and validate data requirements, providing technical data solutions, and designing logical and physical data structures in support of business data needs. This position must demonstrate the ability to analyze business requirements to develop high-level and detailed data requirements, assist in design of data models, conduct business and technical data assessments, and document business metadata. This role would generally not have budgetary responsibility, but decisions may affect the services or products. This role requires regular analysis of data and the ability to meet interpersonal, analytical and organizational demands.
With moderate discretion, this position creates and maintains conceptual data models, high complexity logical and physical data models and assists in the transformation of these models to physical database implementation. This role assists Data and Business Intelligence Engineers in the design of complex databases with easy end-user access and balance design for optimized data access with resource utilization. Working under limited supervision, the problems encountered are somewhat complex and may require analysis of data. Finally, the role will require normal courtesy, tact and diplomacy, which involves much personal contact with others.

- Familiarity with MS SQL Server administrative and development concepts, practices and procedures.

- Proficient in writing complex SQL queries
- Familiarity with database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and/or other ETL technologies
- Thorough understanding of data governance and metadata management concepts

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
- Visually able to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading
- Ability to sit for extended time periods
- Sufficient manual skill for operation of PC keyboard and other standard office equipment
- Ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel
- Ability to exert minimum amounts of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects
Qualifications:
0-2 years of professional hands-on experience supporting complex database environments
