Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Development Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies that align with our organization's mission and goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in grant writing, strategic planning, and relationship building to enhance our philanthropic efforts. You will work closely with the CEO and various stakeholders to identify funding opportunities and cultivate relationships that support our initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Research, Write, and Manage Grants
  • Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet organizational goals.
  • Utilize databases such as (name software) to track donations, manage donor relationships, and analyze fundraising data.
  • Create and manage email campaigns using tools like MailChimp to engage with donors and promote fundraising events.
  • Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting for fundraising initiatives to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Negotiate funding agreements and partnerships with donors and sponsors.
  • Conduct strategic planning sessions to identify new opportunities for growth in philanthropy.
  • Stay informed about wills, trusts, estate law, and other relevant regulations affecting charitable giving.
  • Build strong relationships with current and prospective donors through effective communication and engagement strategies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in fundraising, including grant writing and proposal writing.
  • Proficiency in using databases for tracking donations and managing donor information.
  • Strong budgeting skills to effectively allocate resources for fundraising activities.
  • Familiarity with wills, trusts, estate law is a plus.
  • Excellent strategic planning abilities to identify new funding opportunities.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure partnerships and funding agreements.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to engage with diverse audiences.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $61,448.00 - $68,892.00 per year
