This is a remote position.


For over 88 years, we have worked to create trusting relationships with our fire family. The bonds we build are the foundation of our credit union. As the largest, exclusive firefighter credit union in the nation with over $2.0B in assets, we serve over 64,000 members in more than 1,000 fire departments.

Currently, we have an immediate opening for a Director, Creative Brand to join our team! The Director, Creative Brand is responsible for shaping and executing the Credit Union’s brand strategy across all channels while ensuring the consistent representation of our brand both internally and externally. This role will be responsible for creating brand awareness nationwide within the Fire Family, through the support of the creative marketing team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Developing a compelling and cohesive brand vision while ensuring that it aligns with our mission, values, and long-term goals.
  • Execute public relations strategies, including press releases, conferences, Fire industry conventions, and interviews, to enhance brand visibility and awareness.
  • Collaborating across cross-functional teams to create high-impact marketing collateral, such as brochures, presentations, banners, and social and other digital assets.
  • Collaborating with different departments and other stakeholders to maintain a cohesive brand voice and tone, ensuring consistency in front-line communications.
  • Monitoring performance metrics and staying updated on industry trends and emerging design technologies to ensure that our brand design remains relevant.


Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Regularly meeting with each team member to coach and mentor to ensure alignment around FFCU’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Providing team members with training, tools, and resources to successfully perform their jobs.
  • Holding teams accountable for meeting all service level agreements, ensuring the team’s work is accurate/efficient, and providing coaching, feedback, or training as needed.
  • Providing and ensuring development opportunities are available for team members as part of their overall career path with the Credit Union.
  • Leading change by identifying opportunities that consistently raise the bar and improve service levels.
  • Assisting the Credit Union with executing the business plan of the organization.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Education: BA in Marketing, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Advertising, Business, Communication, or Related Field.
  • Seven years’ experience in brand management or strategy with strong digital experience.
  • Seven years’ experience in public relations.
  • Seven years’ experience managing a creative team.
