Raytheon has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Global Workforce Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I). This position will report to the VP of Global Talent, with a matrix reporting relationship to the RTX Chief Diversity Officer. The role supports all strategic businesses and functions across Raytheon globally, and sits within the Human Resources Talent Center of Expertise (COE). This position is currently designated as fully remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories).

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

In this highly impactful role, you will:

  • Leverage your DE&I subject matter expertise, project management skills and business acumen to partner across our global organization in support of our aspiration to be a bold and global leader in workforce DE&I.

  • Serve as a key strategic partner, cultural resource and inspiring leader on key topics and initiatives.

  • Facilitate strategic discussions to identify, assess and gain stakeholder buy-in.

  • Coach leaders in shaping their roles as champions and advocates for all aspects of inclusion and belonging.

  • Collaborate with learning & organizational effectiveness team members as a thought partner in co-designing and facilitating curated DEI workshops.

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with your DE&I peers, HR colleagues and business leaders at both RTX and Raytheon, as well as our key external DE&I partners.

  • Partner closely across the RTX DE&I ecosystem to develop long-term strategies while owning the execution of short and mid-term strategies.

  • Own and oversee development of roadmaps and project plans, instilling project management discipline and talent function integration.

  • Provide DE&I subject matter expertise (SME) to other functions, supervisors, managers, executives, peers and HR Partners.

  • Influence without direct authority across functions, levels, and locations.

  • Represent the department/company at relevant internal and external events.

  • Research global trends and recommend best practices applicable for our organization.

  • Lead, mentor and grow a team of 3-4 direct reports.

Position Requirements:

  • Ability to overlap with an Eastern Standard Time zone working schedule.

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time worldwide.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A University Degree and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years experience.

  • Experience or training with DE&I concepts, principles and evolving best practices (I.e., formal certifications, prior work experience and/or informal learning methods).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • It is preferred for the selected candidate to be commutable to a Raytheon facility to attend onsite gatherings, meetings, events. etc.

  • Direct/Indirect experience leading teams

  • Proven ability to support a global client group and consider the needs and contexts across multiple regions and countries

  • Experience creating professional and impactful presentations, communication and resources for a variety of audiences, including the executive leadership team

  • Human Resources experience with role progression which includes DE&I responsibility

  • Deep understanding of culturally diverse workforces

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking ability with proven experience in generating insights and influencing for change in a matrixed organization

  • Demonstrated DE&I experience in leading, supporting and creating partnerships, external partners and/or solutions focused on the attraction, inclusion and advancement of under-represented talent

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal across a wide audience

  • Unwavering customer service orientation

  • Proven ability to deal with conflict and diffuse difficult situations

  • Capability to work on tasks where limited written procedures and protocols exist, following broad based verbal guidance to determine the best course of action

Additional Information:

  • This position is grade M7, with job catalog title of Director, Talent Management.

  • Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. Preferred candidate will be commutable to a Raytheon facility.

  • Relocation assistance is not available.

The salary range for this role is 171,000 USD - 343,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
