Are you a top performing Chemical Sales Leader looking for your next opportunity? If so, we have been retained by our client, a global trader and distributor to search for a Director of Chemical Sales to drive business growth in the U.S.
Location: U.S. Remote
Ideal Candidate:
The successful candidate will possess a strong commercial acumen, have a track record of success in commodity chemical sales and managing a sales team. Chemical products include: Glycols, Solvents, Monomers, Surfactants, Plasticizers, Chemical Intermediates. Specifically: MEG, DEG, TEG, MPG, PEG, DEA, Methanol, Acetone, VAM, DOTP. A minimum of 10 years Chemical Sales experience.
The Director of Sales is critical to delivering the business growth plans in U.S.
Responsibilities:
Developing, overseeing, and implementing domestic sales and supply chain functions including but not limited to the following:
* Maintain, develop and strengthen relationships with current customers.
* Identify and develop new customers and suppliers to grow sales volume, revenue & profit.
* Regularly meet with and strengthen relationships with current and prospective customers.
* Conduct due diligence regarding prospective customers.
* Identify, recruit and meet with prospective sales agents in key markets.
Analyze market conditions and identify and cultivate new sources for sales lead generation.
Attend global conferences to gain knowledge and professional recognition, directly market the company’s Chemical Division, build and strengthen current and prospective customer and sales agent relationships.
Meet with and negotiate competitive long-term sales contracts with key customers.
Increase product offerings and product sales volumes yearly according to approved financial plans.
Supervise, direct, mentor, coach and train other sales personnel.
Regular domestic travel (minimum 20% of the time) to meet customers and sales agents.
Compensation commensurate with experience. Salary range $160K - $180K, target bonus 25% & benefits.
