As a Drug & Alcohol Case Management Specialist, you will conduct initial screenings of referred individuals to evaluate the need for emergent care services, as well as determine and verify eligibility for public funding and other service needs for substance use disorder. This professional is also responsible for performing level of care assessments to ascertain the individual's treatment and treatment related needs.
Within this role, you will complete all required documentation in accordance with Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) and Beaver County Behavioral Health (BCBH) policy and procedure. You will also facilitate linkage to the SUD treatment provider, when treatment is indicated, and coordinate and provide access to ancillary services for the individual's treatment related needs. Strong communication skills are essential in order to maintain contact with the individual and service providers, at intervals to be determined in the service plan, to monitor treatment and related needs, in addition to service delivery.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Hours may vary outside of the standard based on the need to be available to referring entities.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week, based upon operational needs and upon successful completion of the probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Beaver Falls.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Drug and Alcohol Case Management Specialist Trainee; or
- A Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Dependency, Sociology, Social Welfare, Psychology, Nursing or a related field; and one year direct service experience performing counseling or case management work in alcohol or other drug treatment setting; or
- A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by successful completion of 18 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, criminal justice or other related social sciences; and one year direct service experience performing counseling or case management work in alcohol or other drug treatment setting; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Beaver County.
