Employee Benefits Department Manager– 100% Remote California

Are you seeking an insurance agency where your dedicated insurance expertise in employee benefits can be utilized? A top insurance company is seeking a strong and organized professional to join the team! The Employee Benefits Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management, processing, and customer service on an assigned book of business.

  • $90,000 - $150,000 annual salary depending on experience

Requirements:


  • Licensed - Active CA Life & Health License required
  • Experience - 10+ years’ experience with employee benefits account manager and supervisor
  • Software - You are proficient with HealthConnect management system
  • Comprehensive knowledge - You have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Education - You have your Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or other appropriate field or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge - You are proficient in multiple health insurance carriers, COBRA Administration, HSA, HRA, etc.


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the Employee Benefits department to ensure quality customer service
  • Resolve any customer complaints and answer customer questions regarding policies, procedures, and claims issues
  • Providing outstanding customer service to all clients
  • Process new business, market both new and renewal business
  • Participate in the interview process and train new employees
  • Provide timely and courteous service and assistance to clients meeting or surpassing the customers’ expectations
  • Stay organized with daily and monthly account management meetings and email correspondence to clients, carriers, etc.
  • Maintain current and accurate customer database files by updating/uploading proper documentation
  • Complete client service tasks related to new business setup and applications as well as renewal applications and policy research
