The Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning is looking for an employer relations and career programming specialist for our undergraduate urban technology (UT) degree. This is a three-year, term-limited position reporting to the managing director of UT (our organizational chart). You will also collaborate with the UT faculty director and the assistant dean for advancement.
You will be an integral member of a small team working to establish urban technology as a thriving undergraduate degree program, in collaboration with stakeholders at the college, across campus, and beyond. You will be primarily responsible for building relationships with regional, state, and national employers to create a recruitment pipeline for UT students; developing student-facing career programming including portfolio reviews, networking opportunities, and career exploration treks; and contributing to career-related student advising. You will work with the Taubman College Career and Professional Development team to assure that students are seeking counsel and guidance on resume, cover letters, and interview preparation.
Note: This three-year, term-limited hybrid job is situated in Ann Arbor and on-campus work is expected three days a week, with a few offsite weeks throughout the academic year and an offsite period from mid-May to mid-August.
