$54,000.00-$69,000.00 is the salary range. Will train.

Position Summary:

Outside Sales Representatives are responsible for increasing sales of services, batteries, DC Power, chargers, and other products in our portfolio by developing and maintaining relationships with customers and clients. Duties may include identifying prospective customers, following up on potential sales leads, and maintaining relationships with existing customers. Other responsibilities include reviewing specifications, quoting, forecasting, and meeting or exceeding sales targets provided by the company. A Sales position is the APS Representative to all customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell products and services from the company portfolio, prepare and present quotes to customers and prospective customers, and establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel at prospective and existing customers.
  • Organize and present at customer and company meetings. Presentations include training sessions. Follow up with customers within the specified timeframe. Follow up with customers after installations and deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain high-quality customer support in an efficient, productive, and profitable manner.
  • Design and write specifications for customers and potential customers, and get APS products and services written into customers' specifications. Review customer specifications and requirements and create solutions for the customers’ needs.
  • Represent themselves in a professional and business-like manner to customers. Must be presentable and well-spoken.
  • Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities.
  • Prepare forecasts for the assigned territory and meet or exceed sales goals set by APS.
  • Monitor our competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand customers' needs and recommend products to add to the company portfolio.
  • Work closely with the Engineering, Service, Customer Service, and Inside Sales departments to ensure customer expectations, including quotes and deliverables, are met in a timely and consistent manner, and the products and services delivered are of excellent quality. Ensure all customer requirements and expectations are shared with the service team.
  • Maintain open and positive communication (both verbal and written) with employees, departments, customers, and vendors.

Requirements:

  • Excellent writing skills, general math skills, strong communication skills, and excellent PC skills, including Office applications, custom applications, and customer software.

  • Work well in a team environment and independently and be a motivated self-starter.
  • Willing to travel between offices, service locations, and customer sites. Attend trade shows as assigned.

Minimum Physical and Sensory Requirements:

  • Strength to lift a 35 lb object without assistance and items weighing up to 70 lb with assistance. Strength to slide up to 70 lb.
