Membership is exclusive to founders, co-founders, or controlling shareholders of businesses generating at least $1 million in annual revenue.

Position Summary:
EO Atlanta is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Event Coordinator to plan and execute a variety of engaging, high-impact events for our members. This role requires curating unique experiences, managing event logistics, and ensuring that all events align with the organization’s mission. The Events Coordinator will collaborate with board members, Strategic Alliance Partners, and vendors to deliver high-quality events that contribute to the personal and professional growth of EO Atlanta members.
Expected Hours & Pay:
- Hours: 15-20 hours/week, Monday to Friday (flexible hours, but must be available during regular business hours). Occasional evening and weekend work will be required based on event schedules.
- Pay: $1,700/month.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Planning & Execution:
- Plan and execute monthly learning events, board meetings, retreats, training sessions, and ad-hoc special events.
- Coordinate event logistics, including venue booking, catering, AV needs, speaker logistics, and on-site event support.
- Ensure that all events include unique elements to “surprise and delight” members, creating memorable experiences.
- Create detailed run-of-show documents and manage event timelines.
Vendor & Budget Management:
- Research, negotiate, and manage relationships with vendors (venues, caterers, AV, and entertainment).
- Manage event budgets, ensuring all events are delivered within financial constraints.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with board chairs, Learning and Social Chairs, and Strategic Alliance Partners to design valuable experiences for members.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure events are effectively promoted and communicated to members and partners.
Post-Event Support & Tracking:
- Manage post-event follow-up, including member feedback, attendance tracking, and detailed reporting.
- Provide insights and recommendations for future events based on feedback and outcomes.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Minimum: Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications or a related field.
- Preferred: Certification in Event Planning or Project Management (CMP or PMP a plus).
Experience:
- Required: 3-5 years of event planning experience in corporate, nonprofit, or similar settings.
- Preferred: Experience working with member-based organizations, or in the hospitality industry. Experience planning corporate events, conferences, or leadership retreats is highly valued.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g.Trello)
- Strong budgeting and vendor negotiation skills.
- Training will be provided on our event management software (ChapterPro)

- Strong network of vendors in the Atlanta area, including venues, caterers, and AV companies.
- Corporate event planning experience is strongly preferred. Experience in social or wedding planning may not align with the high-level professional events EO hosts.
