Job Description

The Executive Assistant for the Life Sciences Platform is responsible for providing administrative support to our Business Development team and other specific stakeholders in Life Sciences. The position requires strong verbal and written communication skills, technical skills, ability to multi-task, attention to detail, ability to work with confidential information, and the initiative towork in a dynamic, fast-paced global environment.This position allows for working remotely anywhere in the eastern time zone of the United States.

You will be a part of the Business Development team and report to the VP of Business Development, Genomic Medicines. Genomic Medicines is one of four Groups within Danaher. This Group focuses on a new, exciting and fast growing set of markets that represent a high priority growth vector for Danaher. You will support a small team of senior leaders, including the VP of Business Development, the Chief Technology Officer, the Group Strategy Leader, and one to two additional Business Development team members. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Represent Danaher Life Sciences senior management
  • Manage detailed and demanding schedule, Outlook Calendar, and preparing for meetings;
  • Manage confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response;
  • Coordinate extensive domestic and international travel; managing all details pertaining to reservations and itineraries;
  • Monitor status of key deliverables; establish, manage and adhere to action plans with the VP of Business Development to meet deadlines;
  • Coordinate in-house and off-site meetings for small and large groups (including agenda, accommodations, transportation, catering);
  • Organize conference calls, virtual get-togethers (setup MS Teams & reminders);
  • Ability to participate in global leadership meetings, take actions items, and manage appropriate follow-up from meetings;
  • Organize staff meetings (updates, reminders, coordination and distribution of materials timely);
  • Support in development of presentations (presentation formatting and slide writing)
  • Answering phone/video calls, taking messages, and responding in a timely manner;
  • Composing and preparing correspondence, in addition to proofreading for spelling, grammar, layout and making appropriate changes;
  • Assistant as needed to staff when rush/special/confidential assignments/tasks arises;
  • Utilizing Excel and other corporate systems to prepare reports
  • Preparing expense reports to corporate policy, processing invoices, and reconcile budget;
  • Processing and tracking of purchase orders and invoices, and coordination with market research vendors for administrative purposes;
  • Maintain and update databases (MS Excel, SalesForce)

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Strong aptitude to bring structure and organization to a global team of executives
  • Strong technical skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, MS Teams in addition ability to trouble-shoot technical issues;
  • Ability to independently create documents from notes/input from various sources;
  • Self-motivated and ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs and re-prioritize work as necessary;
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines;
  • Positive and strong team player;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to compose formal communications from Executives to entire organization;

Your academic and professional background includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 7+ years previous experience and executive support

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience working with a Fortune 500 company with diverse customer groups and job functions is preferred.
  • Previous International experience/exposure
  • Previous experience in a company in the area of Life Sciences or Biopharmaceuticals

The salary range OR the hourly range for this role is 80,000- 100,000 . This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
