Job Summary:

The Raytheon Financial Consolidations Team is a small team that oversees Raytheon segment financial consolidation, small site accounting and reporting, and lease accounting and reporting. The selected team member will develop a well-rounded understanding of Raytheon accounting structure and system. The experience gained will provide a foundation for continued broadening of financial experience at Raytheon.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Support the monthly consolidation process for non-SAP accounting ledgers and branches in support of the overall month end close and consolidation process. This may include, but is not limited to preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and reviewing accounting transactions associated with a non-SAP ledger and Foreign branches.

  • Have responsibility of ensuring compliance and reporting requirements for the applicable non-SAP ledgers including but not limited to corporate reporting, government reporting and internal reviews.

  • Prepare schedules for Financial Reporting quarterly.

  • Participate in special projects and analysis.

  • Perform monthly small site ledger review and upload for consolidation.

  • In addition to non-SAP accounting activities, this member may participate and support Accounting software conversion and process improvement projects.

  • Ensuring compliance with key internal control procedures

  • Preparing and posting complex journal entries

  • Completing account reconciliations and analytical tasks

  • Preparing Trial Balance charts/schedules and presenting to the General Accounting Manager and Controller

  • Assist with external auditor requests.

  • Support lease accounting, asset retirement obligation (ARO), environmental liabilities.

  • Act as a resource for other Financial Accounting team members to analyze and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or related topic.

  • Typically requires 2+ years finance work experience; OR an Advanced degree and 0-2+ years prior relevant experience.

  • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint and/or Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, graphing, etc.)

  • U.S. Citizenship Status is Required as this position will require the ability to Access US Only Data Systems

Additional Information:

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
