Video Game Tester

At Battle Road, we’re looking for a highly motivated, technically minded Video Game Tester to help us build the Atom Engine - a new generation of game engine that's cloud first. The Atom Engine brings turnkey solutions for simulating millions of entities in a persistent, comprehensive, planet-scale sandbox. JOB DESCRIPTION

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You will help with quality assurance testing and validation of the Atom Engine code base.

• Along with your fellow testers, you will assume responsibility for the quality of our shipping code, relentlessly pursuing anomalies to identify clear repro steps across a variety of environments from local development to cloud deployments.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering team to develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and testing strategies tailored to product features and client use cases.
• Communicate effectively with team members to learn new systems quickly, get & stay unblocked, and provide actionable test results in real time.
• Be agile and adaptive to the demands of fast-moving workflows, priorities, and deliverables.
• Create and maintain clear and detailed test plans and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED.
• 2+ years of experience in video game quality assurance, with a strong understanding of QA principles, methodologies, and processes.
• Proficiency in using industry-standard testing tools and software, such as version control systems, bug tracking systems, and test management tools.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and prioritize testing activities based on project requirements and objectives.
• Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of gaming mechanics, genres, and platforms.
• Concise, effective communication skills (spoken and written)

• Ability to understand and communicate technical details

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Battle Road is a remote-first global team that spans 3 countries. The ability to speak and write the Spanish language is a plus!
