As a Geoscience Trainee, you will engage in a comprehensive one-year training program that combines formal education with practical experience to acquire the skills necessary for a Geoscientist role. Your responsibilities will include evaluating hydrogeologic and geological aspects of work plans and reports, which entails analyzing proposals and designs related to groundwater, soil, surface water, air, and sediment sampling. You will also conduct feasibility and treatability studies, review groundwater pump test proposals, and assess Land Recycling report submissions while performing field inspections. Furthermore, you will be tasked with collecting, organizing, and analyzing various data types, including field, laboratory, and historical information, as well as details from lithologic and well construction logs. In addition, you will provide guidance and information to industry representatives, technical consultants, elected officials, and the public concerning the administration and implementation of Act 2 regulations, policies, and procedures.
