Graphic Designer III
This position requires an active Public Trust clearance.
The Graphic Designer III creates advanced visual designs for digital and print projects, ensuring brand consistency and project alignment. They lead design initiatives, mentor junior designers, and collaborate with teams to deliver creative solutions. Expertise in design software and strong attention to detail are essential.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Graphic Designer III: $80K-$84K
Pay commensurate with experience.

Graphic Designer III Responsibilities Include:
- Layout and custom graphics for print and web publications with approximately 24 double sided pages and front and back covers
- Create design boards to communicate creative concepts for review
- Program-specific graphic design products to communicate complex information visually for use in a variety of media, including print products, web-based communication, and as visual elements in video productions
- Offer ideas and fully participate in team brainstorming with little client guidance
- Create products that simplify complex environmental restoration projects and programs for internal and external AFIMSC audiences
- Create visual products in line with the clients branding and vision
- Communicate professionally with internal and external teams and stakeholders as well as vendors
- Help develop, follow and maintain an effective visual media quality control program to ensure services are performed follow regulatory requirements and statutes
- Proactively identify and mitigating visual element quality issues while ensuring work products are scientifically and technically sound and comply with DoD and Air Force standards
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Graphic Designer III Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- 6-10 years of work experience as a graphic designer
- Bachelor's degree in graphic arts, design or related field; and/ or technical training or design certification equivalent
- Animation experience preferred
- Must be a self-starter with excellent time management and a willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and manage concurrent deadlines and projects
- Ability to evaluate and think critically, with customer needs in mind
- Demonstrate passion, enthusiasm and creativity
- Must include a portfolio of successful work; portfolio should demonstrate competencies in print-layout, photo-editing and vector-art creation software as well as an understanding of data visual design principles
- Examples of data visualization through infographics, visual articles, timelines, maps, visual comparison, and flowcharts
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
