About this role:

Job Overview
E&J Comfort Systems is seeking motivated S2 or D2 Licensed Technicians to join our growing team. We are looking for a skilled HVAC professional with strong diagnostic abilities, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining residential HVAC systems including gas, oil, heat pumps, and air conditioning units. You’ll work directly with customers, collaborate with our internal team, and help support the continued growth of our company.

We are seeking a S2 and/or D2 licensed and skilled HVAC Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in equipment installation, repair, maintenance, HVAC systems, piping and possess strong mechanical aptitude along with great customer service.

Diagnostic troubleshooting & repair with all aspects of residential HVAC including gas, oil, heat pumps and air conditioning units.

Responsibilities
• Serve existing and new customers by reviewing work orders, investigating issues, conducting tests, and resolving problems
• Diagnose and repair all aspects of residential HVAC systems (gas, oil, heat pumps, AC units)
• Provide clear communication and long‑term solutions to customer concerns
• Work closely with dispatchers, technicians, and installers to ensure excellent service delivery
• Establish service by reviewing system requirements, gathering parts, and preparing equipment
• Follow daily travel schedules and maintain punctuality
• Document all job details using company software, logs, and procedures

Experience

- Proven experience in HVAC field service

- Ability to read and interpret schematics

- Proficiency in using an electrical multi-meter for electrical diagnostics

- Mechanical aptitude for equipment repair

- Strong work ethic and professional standards

- Good verbal and written communication

- Ability to satisfy clients in a clean, efficient, and professional manner

Candidates should possess the following:
• 5+ years of residential HVAC Diagnostic Repair Service Technician experience
• CT Occupational License S1, S2, D1, D2
• OSHA 10 Card (Preferred)
• EPA Section 608 Type II or Universal Certification
• S2 or D2 License

Candidates
• Must have an clean driving record & valid driver license
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Must pass pre-employment drug test
• Must pass criminal background check
• Must be able to fluently speak, read, and write in English
