Resp & Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced professional to live and work remotely from within the greater Baltimore/Washington metropolitan area. The incumbent will be expected to come into a CareFirst location periodically for meetings, training and/or other business-related activities.

PURPOSE:

  • The Project Coordinator coordinates well-defined projects and/or supports the work of a team of project/program management professionals. The role involves tracking progress, assisting with documentation, and contributing to implementations, integrations, business readiness, and communications efforts.
  • The Project Coordinator will be responsible for interacting with project stakeholders and business partners within the organization. The position involves analyzing data, conducting research, and contributing to NCQA standard requirements, program planning, and implementation to improve member experiences, health outcomes, and ensure that CareFirst performs as a four-star health plan. This role operates in a fast-paced, collaborative, and iterative environment, requiring quick learning, agility, and flexibility.
  • Additional responsibilities include primary source verification (PSV), medical record retrieval, and comprehensive cleanup of provider data to bolster healthcare operations, compliance, and quality enhancement initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Plans and communicates aspects of project performance to team members and implements the vision and objectives, such as requesting, analyzing, and communicating data to support team goals related to clinical outcomes and member experiences. Contributing to process and quality improvement efforts across the organization. (e.g., Medical Record Retrieval).
  • Assists in the oversight of project tasks, establishes, and monitors milestones, and prepares progress reports, such as reviewing data and recommending improvement opportunities, including actions for clinicians and CareFirst. Researching and summarizing materials related to NCQA accreditation standards for health plans, clinical and population health interventions, and process improvement techniques and opportunities.
  • Interfaces with a variety of disciplines and coordinates the work of functional units across the division and/or broader organization, generating clear and concise documentation for project-based work.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Business, or a related field.

Experience: 1 year of project-related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, effective communication skills (written and verbal), ability to exercise good judgment.


Salary Range:
$46,512 - $92,378.

This compensation range is specific and considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilites of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, internal peer equity, and market and business consideration. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range, as compensation decisions depend on each case's facts and circumstances, including but not limited to experience, internal equity, and location.
