Job Description

The HR Generalist - Family Health Center (FHC) works with the Human Resource Team and outsourced HR sources as applicable to provide support in consultation, facilitation and resolution strategies for workplace issues. This individual will support HR functions such as: employee relations, recruitment, hiring, onboarding, discipline, training, personnel record management, unemployment, and employee services in accordance with HR System-wide protocols and procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist in managing day-to-day employee relations work responsibilities, including responding to employee inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Provide recruiting and onboarding support.
  • Provides employee relations oversight and guidance for management and staff.
  • interprets employee relations policies and procedures and provides direction to managers to ensure consistent execution of policies.
  • Assists in supporting FHVC managers and employees with technical assistance with employee relations systems.
  • Seeks to maintain consistency throughout FHVC in regards to employee related activity.
  • Conducts and/or assists HR Director with (but not limited to) investigations, furloughs, reduction in workforce and severance.
  • Conducts employee exit interviews, follow up with managers, and determine if/when to escalate to HR leadership.
  • Assist in termination-related matters and prepare termination documentation and letters.
  • Supports and manages unemployment claims to ensure completion in a timely manner.
  • Oversees the employee relations data and policies, including HRIS reporting, Incident Reporting System, and HRIS follow up on disciplinary actions to ensure completion.
  • Remains current in regulatory HR and accreditation environment and updates policies/programs accordingly to maintain compliance.
  • Provides support and facilitation for employee relations programs such as new manager and employee orientation, recognition, employee engagement, and performance management.
  • Reviews and manages incident reporting files to ensure appropriate resolution.
  • Leads the management and maintenance of the HR Intranet site to ensure accurate and timely information.
  • Maintains HR records by documenting incidents, employee concerns and issues and resolution of problems through the HR's Documentation System to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Regular attendance is required in order to carry out the essential functions of the position.
  • Reviews and meets ongoing competency requirements of the ole to maintain the skills, knowledge and abilities to perform, within scope, role specific functions.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from and institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council of Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field and two or more years of experience in human resources.
  • Associates Degree in Human Resources Management or related field and two or more years of experience in human resources.
  • High school diploma or equivalent and five years' experience in human resources.

Preferred/Optional:

  • Health care experience.

CERTIFCATIONS/LICENSES:

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s),m etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required: None

Preferred/Optional: SPHR/PHR certification.



Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Position will be remote but must be located in Wisconsin.
