WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Ensure the timely and accurate submission of insurance claims to all third party payers and document billing activity in the patient accounting system.

• Prepare and submit manual insurance claims to third-party payors.

• Review daily edit reports from the billing system and make necessary corrections to allow electronic submission.

• Supervise the work product of the designated Billing Teams and escalate to management the performance of individuals through feedback and recommendations.

• Ensure compliance with all state and federal billing regulations.

• Meet with Payor representatives to address outstanding issues.

• Monitor claim rejects for trends and issue and report findings.

• Process rebills as requested.

• Review high dollar account balances to ensure timely billing.

• Work with leadership and patient accounting staff to improve processes, increase accuracy and create efficiencies to achieve overall goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Preferred Associate's degree

• Required High School Diploma/GED

• 2 years Patient accounting, billing, collections, customer service, or cash applications. Required

• 1 year Microsoft office, managed care contract terminology Preferred
