Job Description

The Core Practice is a growing provider of telehealth counseling services, offering accessible and comprehensive mental health support to individuals across Oregon. Our mission is to deliver high-quality counseling services through secure and convenient online platforms, ensuring that clients receive the support they need from the comfort of their own homes.

We are currently seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team and provide telehealth counseling services. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based counseling interventions, promoting mental wellness, and assisting individuals in navigating various challenges they may face. This is a remote position, allowing you to provide counseling services from your preferred location.

Responsibilities: Conduct telehealth counseling sessions with clients using secure and HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platforms. Provide individualized counseling services tailored to the specific needs of each client. Conduct comprehensive assessments and formulate treatment plans based on clients' goals and presenting issues. Offer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), and other appropriate modalities. Collaborate with clients to develop coping strategies and tools for managing stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and other necessary documentation. Adhere to ethical guidelines and legal requirements related to counseling practice, client confidentiality, and privacy. Participate in regular supervision and engage in continuous professional development activities to enhance counseling skills and stay abreast of current research and best practices. Maintain open and effective communication with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders involved in the counseling process. Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, fostering collaboration and professional growth.

Qualifications: Must hold a valid and current license as a Professional Counselor (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) in the state of Oregon. Minimum 1 year of experience providing counseling services, preferably in a telehealth or online counseling setting (preferred). Strong knowledge and expertise in evidence-based counseling approaches and interventions. Proficient in conducting telehealth sessions and utilizing video conferencing platforms. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with clients. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical conduct. Familiarity with relevant state laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines governing counseling practice. Comfortable using technology and electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and record-keeping.
