PRIOR EXPERIENCE:

Our personal injury practice is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal (5+ years in aiding within litigation department) to aid our trial team. The paralegal will be responsible for maintaining accurate case files, working with our staff to meet all court requirements for each case and serving as a reliable advocate for our growling list of clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Strong emphasis on drafting court-ready state and federal motions and filings quickly and with attention to detail. Able to draft requests and responses to discovery; motions, pleadings, demands and correspondence;

*Maintain the litigation calendar flawlessly: to include discovery deadlines, hearings, appointments;

* Maintain daily organization of a high volume docket;

*Able to draft requests and responses to discovery; motions, pleadings, demands and correspondence;

* E-file state and federal pleadings and motions;

* Document, organize, and prepare a file for trial;

* Deal professionally with clients;

* Maintain office file system; and

* Able to scan, fax, email.

* Associates degree or higher and/or Paralegal certification required;

* 5+ Experience with federal and state e-filing;

* Experience calculating and calendaring deadlines via interpretation of local state and federal rules;

* Excellent communication skills and positive attitude;

* Friendly in the office, and able to handle multiple clients and multi-task;

* Be able to take direction, but also come up with ideas of your own on how to potentially improve the office;

* Have attention to detail – cannot be stressed enough;

* Reliable and trustworthy;

* Respectful and honest ;

* Able to put out a quality work product every day w/minimal to no errors;

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word;

* Experience with cloud-based client management software is a plus;

* Very computer savvy;

* Willing to learn;

* Spanish bilingual – not required

Pay: Salary at $70,000-85,000 yearly
