Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and strategic Philanthropy Manager to lead our fundraising initiatives and enhance our philanthropic efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nonprofit fundraising, relationship management, and grant writing. This role requires someone who is passionate about making a difference and has the ability to engage with various stakeholders, including donors, community partners, and university representatives.

This position operates fully remote until we move into our new facility.

Occasional travel required to meet with potential donors.

Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet organizational goals.
  • Conduct research to identify potential funding sources and grant opportunities.
  • Write compelling proposals and grant applications to secure funding from foundations, corporations, and government entities.
  • Utilize databases such as Raiser’s Edge and Salesforce to manage donor information and track fundraising activities.
  • Negotiate terms with potential donors and partners to maximize contributions.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance online presence through platforms like WordPress.
  • Create reports on fundraising progress and outcomes for stakeholders.
  • Foster relationships with current donors while cultivating new partnerships within the community and university sectors.
  • Lead strategic planning sessions to align philanthropy efforts with organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in fundraising, grant writing, or related fields within a nonprofit environment.
  • Proficiency in using databases such as Raiser’s Edge and Salesforce for donor management.
  • Strong research skills to identify funding opportunities aligned with organizational goals.
  • Excellent proposal writing skills with a track record of successful grant applications.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with WordPress or similar content management systems for online engagement.
  • Strong strategic planning abilities to guide philanthropy initiatives effectively.
  • A degree from a university in a relevant field is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
