The following position is to join our RTX Corporate team:

We’re looking for a highly motivated and collaborative Manager, Strategic Customer Events professional to join our RTX Strategic Customer Events team to support internal and external events across the entire RTX business. This role will be responsible for planning and executing the worldwide program for internal and external customer events; leadership meetings, conferences, symposiums, trade shows, etc., both virtually and onsite. The ideal candidate is an organized, creative, and enthusiastic event professional with a broad range of global planning experience.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the event planning process with executives and other key stakeholders in the organization
  • Understand business objectives, logistical needs, and budget for each event to ensure all planning and execution meets expectation
  • Anticipate participants’ needs and proactively offer solutions
  • Manage the execution of events - both on site and virtual
  • Assist with budgets, confirm participation in domestic and international events, plan and manage logistics including, but not limited to, contracts, hotel/venue sourcing, registration site, attendee/rooming lists, ground transportation, receptions, catering, off-site entertainment, meeting scheduling and approving and paying invoices
  • Liaise with third-party vendors as needed to design and execute event plans
  • Conduct MFA surveys and AARs and consolidate feedback for lessons learned
  • Manage and update the team calendar used to plan, program, and execute events
  • Process invoices and track against budget
  • Work closely with Ethics & Compliance Officer to ensure understanding and conformity with all applicable policies and procedures. Utilize the business gift and sponsored travel tool as required
  • Support special projects as requested
  • Support the extended Customer Marketing team as needed
  • Travel up to 30%

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • Previous experience effectively providing excellent oral and written communications
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Working knowledge of planning tools and apps (Cvent)
  • Previous experience executing events worldwide
  • Prior experience in leading negotiations
  • Previous experience proposing new and creative solutions

  • Ability to work independently, as well as on a collaborative team
  • Previous experience in Project Management
  • Strong business sense, including financial acumen to manage budgets
  • Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed expectations
  • Previous exposure to supporting C-Suite executives
  • Knowledge of the aerospace and defense industry
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
