The Red Hat Enterprise Linux Product Marketing Team is looking for an experienced Market Research Analyst. This is a critical role that helps influence decisions for product strategy, positioning and messaging, and overall go-to-market strategy. Research will span product usage, market trends, IT spending and priorities and more. The Market Research Analyst will collaborate closely with product management, product marketing, corporate marketing and data science teams. The successful candidate should be able to design a research project in collaboration with stakeholders, analyze data using statistical tests, visualize and present their findings and provide actionable insights.
What you will do: - Develop and deliver market insights using data obtained via quantitative and qualitative research methods, leveraging internal tools and analysis as well as third-party vendors for online surveys, focus groups and in-depth interviews
- Support development of custom TAM and SAM models for IT infrastructure markets with a focus on operating systems
- Gather market data and perform analysis to inform actionable insights
- Communicate market data trends with actionable insights to management teams for strategic planning
- 3+ years experience performing market research and data analysis
- Experience leverage quantitative methods to explore and answer research questions using survey data
- An understanding of enterprise IT technologies as well as the application of those technologies to solve customer challenges
- Ability to convert complex data and findings into easily interpreted visual reports and provide analysis, consultation and actionable insights
- Experience designing survey instruments
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate and work independently across multiple teams in a dynamic and fast-growing environment
