Job Posting:

The Marketing Analytics Analyst plays a crucial role in helping marketers improve the efficiency of their Marketing strategies and supporting them in making better data-driven decisions. This position will independently develop Marketing dashboards, reporting, and analyses that provide actionable, high-impact insights to partners in Marketing, Digital Commerce, Merchandising and Product.

This role is responsible for extracting data from multiple sources, manipulating data, validating data, building out reporting/dashboards and conducting analysis. The successful candidate should be comfortable performing the following: gathering requirements from partners, writing queries in SQL, developing analytical visualizations, educating partners on the data, and providing actionable insights.

The Marketing Analytics Analyst will set day-to-day objectives and deliver job responsibilities that may vary outside typical norms or practices. Work independently and may be required to apply discretion within established operational boundaries and procedures.

To be successful in this role, the candidate will possess the ability to think creatively and improve the status quo. Make checks and minor adjustments to work methods to solve problems that may not be immediately evident in existing work processes and systems.

Location:

This role is approved to be either Remote within the United States or Hybrid in Newport News, VA in accordance with company policy.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with key partners to understand the business problems they face, identify reporting needs, and recommend analytics solutions (reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses) to address those problems

  • Scoping out Business Analytics needs, defining data structures needed for reporting, locating data sources, and identifying solutions for data automation. For more advanced ETL collaborating closely with our Data Engineering team.

  • Write the code to pull and model the data in an efficient, automated manner

  • Leverage industry standard methodologies in the visual display of information to design and layout visual elements of reports and dashboards, making them easily consumable and interpretable by non-technical audiences

  • Analyze data, provide insights, and make actionable recommendations to improve Marketing effectiveness

  • Clearly explain Marketing Attribution and testing logic back to partners.

  • Proactively find opportunities to improve the collaborator experience with our reports/dashboards through improved visualization and interface design as well as back-end performance improvement.

  • Provide mentorship to junior analysts.

  • Formalize and adhere to strong Quality Assurance processes to ensure the integrity of analytical outputs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • 3-5 years of relevant Analyst work experience.

  • Marketing Analytics Experiences preferred with working knowledge of: Attribution, Segmentation, Activation and Incrementality testing.

  • Strong working knowledge of Excel

  • Strong knowledge of at least one Business Intelligence tool (Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio, Looker, etc.). Power BI experience preferred.

  • Strong working knowledge of Site Analytics (Adobe or Google Analytics)

  • SQL experience required.

  • Ability to interpret data to inform business decisions.

  • Must have a track record of managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines and agility to adapt

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively with all levels of management

  • Must possess a heightened level of attention to detail

  • Must possess excellent organizational, writing, and analytical skills

  • Commitment to high standards, integrity, and ethics

  • Ability to handle issues involving sensitivity, confidentiality, and legal exposure

    Pay Range:

      Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.

        $5,175.00 - $8,433.70

          Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

            This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
