SALARY:

$23.25 - $27.50+ per hour, the posted salary range represents the minimum to the midpoint within RVU’s compensation plan. RVU’s full compensation structure provides a minimum to a maximum range. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.

Primary Purpose:
As the Marketing Coordinator at Rocky Vista University, you will play a critical role in driving the institution's marketing efforts. You will be responsible for executing marketing tactics, overseen by the Director of Marketing, for campus programs and providing ideas for annual strategy planning for the campus. The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for daily marketing initiatives that enhance the university's brand, engage prospective students, connect with community events, and support programs on the campus. This role requires experience or willingness to learn videography and video editing.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Annual Strategy Execution: Understand the developed yearly marketing plans for existing programs, aligning with the university program leaders and students to execute.
  • Market Insights: Keep up to date on emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges, to understand best tactics to execute.
  • Digital Marketing: Implement digital marketing campaigns, leveraging various channels such as display advertising, social media (paid and organic), email marketing, and search engine optimization (SEO).
  • Traditional Marketing: Coordinate traditional marketing efforts, including print advertising, direct mail, and promotional events.
  • Performance Analysis: Understand marketing metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), using data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve outcomes.
  • Video Production: This role will write scripts, film and edit educational materials such as lectures as well as content for social media.
  • Brand Management: Ensure consistent and effective representation of the university's brand across all marketing channels.
  • Content Creation: Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling and relevant content for various marketing channels, including website, brochures, and presentations.
  • Event Coordination: Plan and execute marketing events, including open houses, webinars, and outreach programs to connect with prospective students.
  • Help build a culture that respects, values, and promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proven experience in marketing roles.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing trends and tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong aptitude for video production.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Results-driven with a focus on achieving engagement targets. Ability to work independently and in a team, with a proactive and adaptable attitude.
  • Ability to represent the university professionally.
  • Travel within the designated campus area and national conferences.
  • Proven experience in higher education or healthcare.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited institution in any field or relevant experience in lieu of education requirement which would be four (4) or more years.
  • Two (2)+ years of previous experience in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree or higher from an accredited institution in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
