**This is a 100% remote position but you must be located in Oregon. **

WHO WE ARE: We are a rapidly growing, down-to-earth, female+family-owned company that does harm-reduction, addiction, and mental health treatment. We currently have 2 locations and will be opening two more this year. We deeply value our patients and our staff.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Extremely reliable, hardworking, experienced person with at least 5 years of experience in medical billing and collections, and at least 2 years in a supervisory role; preferably has experience specific to billing for a substance abuse treatment program.

ABOUT THE JOB: You will oversee all billing processes, and have a dynamic role in developing, researching, and implementing billing procedures as we expand our company with new services and new clinics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the billing and collections process
  • Ensure that all billing activities are performed accurately and in compliance with regulations and guidelines
  • Work with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve billing issues
  • Supervise billing and collections staff and provide training and development opportunities
  • Monitor the collection process and take action to address any issues that arise
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare billing regulations and guidelines
  • Work with other departments within the organization to ensure that billing and collections activities are coordinated and effective
  • Prepare reports and analyze billing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Implement process improvements to optimize the billing and collections process
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Revenue Cycle Management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing and collections, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Experience specific to billing for a substance abuse treatment program is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare billing regulations and guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Knowledge of medical billing software and electronic health record systems.

Compensation:

· $50,000-70,000 per year; we are willing to offer more to a candidate with extensive demonstrated and verifiable experience in: billing in both private and state insurance for a substance abuse treatment program, supervising staff, and in developing, researching, and implementing billing procedures.

· Medical insurance base tier premium is paid 100% by the company (option to upgrade to 2 additional tiers and/or add family members, which company pays 5% of upgrade cost)

· Dental and Vision Insurance premium is paid 100% by the company

·PTO accrual of 12 days per year, with increases after 1 year, and then 5 years

·Holiday Pay

·401k and 401k matching of up to 3% after 3 months

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
