UnityPoint Health – Eyerly Ball is seeking PRN Mobile Crisis On-Call Counselors who provide on-site support, consultation and provide stability to clients who are experiencing a mental health crisis.

As a Mobile Crisis On-Call Counselor you will:

  • Provide crisis response and intervention to clients during crisis calls in the community or home settings where the crisis is occurring.
  • Play a key role in providing case management services for clients according to program policies.
  • Build a support community by developing and maintaining professional working relationships with other mental health practitioners, case managers, law enforcement officers, school personnel and hospital personnel.
  • Complete required paperwork and maintain client files in accordance with program rules and policies.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Capacity to professionally relate to a wide variety of clients, as well as a desire to serve as a client advocate.
  • Ability to practice good verbal and written communication skills with ability to complete case notes timely.
  • Capacity to work with client advocates effectively, patiently and respond professionally at all times.
  • A self-starter who takes initiative, works with minimal supervision, and has the skill set to work independently.
  • Ongoing passion about making a difference in the lives of those who have been touched by mental illness.

To be considered you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field OR
  • Associate degree in human services or related field OR
  • High school diploma with a minimum of two years of experience in behavioral or mental health services.
  • Minimum one year experience providing mental health services or human services with college degree.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Required to provide proof of insurance coverage.
