Job Title: ND HOSA Officer Coach & Event Assistant (Part-Time)

Location: Remote/Hybrid

Compensation: $12 - $14 per hour - Pay will commensurate with level of experience

Benefits: Non-benefitted position.

Position Information:

This position exists to support the ND HOSA program by coaching state officers, assisting in event planning, and chaperoning at conferences. The HOSA Officer Coach & Event Assistant will play a critical role in ensuring that officers are trained, engaged, and prepared for their duties, while also providing logistical support for various ND HOSA events throughout the year.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Officer Coach Duties (40%):

  • Review and stay updated on the Officer Handbook and all related policies
  • Track officer attendance and ensure all officers fulfill their required duties
  • Plan and facilitate the State CTSO Summer Officer Training, including travel arrangements and agenda preparation
  • Coordinate monthly officer meetings, including developing agendas, reviewing minutes, and ensuring officers meet their responsibilities
  • Serve as a liaison between officers, the state office, and local advisors
  • Oversee officer participation in social media activities and communication

Event Assistant Duties (40%):

  • Assist in planning and attending HOSA events, including Fall, State, International, and Washington Leadership Conferences
  • Handle travel and accommodation arrangements for officers during events
  • Support the setup and execution of workshops, competitions, and award sessions at conferences
  • Serve as a chaperone and help manage officer duties during conferences
  • Act as a resource for members and officers during events, ensuring that all activities run smoothly

Post-Event & Transition (20%):

  • Coordinate with the new officer team and ensure a smooth transition following the State Conference
  • Guide the new officer team in preparing for National Conference requirements and expectations
  • Assist with organizing post-conference wrap-up activities, including elections and officer transitions

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience working with youth or leadership training preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable method of transportation
  • Must be able to travel out of state up to 2 times per year (June and September) and in-state a minimum of 3 times per year for events and conferences (October, March/April, June)
  • Willingness to travel for events and conferences throughout the state and nationally as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in HOSA, health education, event coordination, or a related field
