Job Description

We are looking for an experienced outside sales consultant for the state of North Carolina. (must live in NC) You will maintain and build relationships with our distributors and assist them in selling our Infrastructure products. Your past experience of calling on distributors, construction, or industrial accounts will help you in this position. You need live in the area, as you will have a home based office with travel requirements, yet we respect balance for work and personal life. This position will require travel throughout the state (your territory) as well as working independently with minimum supervision, Auto provided.

Responsibilities

• Represent company at trade shows and meetings while promoting products and services
• Develop quotes, track bids, maintain customer list and contacts in Sales Logix
• Overnight travel including some on short notice
• Consistently be a safety advocate

• Maintain, develop, expand and service customer base in assigned sales territory
• Promote complete product line to potential customers/engineers/end users
• Identify current market conditions and trends
• Generate reports, prepare documents and presentations
• Monitor and evaluate competitive products and companies

• Deliver presentations to audiences on specific topics
• Support credit department with collecting project information and monies
• Proficient in reading and interpreting site drawings, plans and specification
• Conduct complaint investigations and handle issue to resolution
• Demonstrate accurate product application handling and installation in field and office

Background check and drug screening for candidate upon hire, and a clean driving record

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree, (Business, Engineering or Communications desired) 
  • Building products, Industrial sales or transferrable skills/ sales
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Time and priority management is a must
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power-point) and database usage
  • Confirmed Sales Ability, and the ability to develop new clients into long lasting customers
  • Ability to build and network for new business opportunities and referrals
  • Outside sales Experience
  • Establish professional relationships with customers and purchasing contacts
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report
