Position Description: Patient Services Representative

Were looking for the right person to join our enthusiastic and caring team of professionals as a Patient Services Representative. This employee will be responsible, service-focused, and courteous in all encounters for assigned daily operations in connection with billing within the Finance division of the VNA, subsidiaries and any company under management contract. This position provides timely and accurate recording of all transactions for said operations. This is a Seasonal part-time position, not eligible for benefits.

Job Responsibilities.
Communication with payers to ensure appropriate authorization for services and to ensure timely payment of claims.
Accurate recording of all cash posting transactions for agency.
Accomplish timely and accurate miscellaneous projects assigned by Manager of Billing and management.
Maintain appropriate files of records pertinent to work product.
Excel at customer service, both internal and external, as set forth by Finance division policies.
Contributes to employee satisfaction through positive interactions and professionalism.
Promotes the growth of the VNA by representing the organization, its mission, and its role in the community in a professional manner.

Requirements:
High School graduate required, associate degree in business or related field preferred.
Four or more years of experience in the medical billing field.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Ability to present information and respond to questions from employees, clients, managers, and general public.
Proficient in MS-Office applications, email, internet usage and navigating network folders.
Ability to multi-task.
