Germanna Community College is a public, open access institution of higher education in the Virginia Community College System. Germanna Community College is centrally located in Fredericksburg, VA between Washington D.C. and Richmond and between the Blue Ridge mountains and the Chesapeake Bay. Full of history, the area offers a community rich with diversity, the arts, technology, vineyards, hiking, canoeing/kayaking, and many other activities.

Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. We are currently seeking adjunct faculty members, for face-to-face teaching assignments, in the field of Health – Pharmacy Technician.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in the subject area
  • History of successful teaching experience
  • Subject matter expertise, and experience in facilitating learning
  • Ability to teach online, and/or willingness to learn and effectively utilize online learning platforms
  • Industry certifications in respective fields
  • Experience with or willingness to learn artificial intelligence tools

KSA's/Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree.
  • Current pharmacy technician certification or licensure as a pharmacist.
  • Five years of related industry experience.
  • Demonstrates strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Potential for facilitating student success in higher education.
  • Willingness to assume relevant technological skills required for effective teaching.
  • Demonstrates commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
  • Indication of teaching and service furthering the goal of building a culturally diverse educational environment.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn artificial intelligence tools.
  • Commitment to working with diverse colleagues, students, and community members.

Additional Considerations
  • Undergraduate teaching experience.
