Physical Therapist (PT)

Job Responsibilities - you knew they were coming!

  • Provide treatment and patient care according to state and federal regulations and professional guidelines
  • Perform complete evaluations of the patient's functional capacity, muscle strength, motor development, respiratory and circulatory efficiency, and endurance
  • Routinely assess and revise therapy care plan to ensure best patient outcome
  • Provide education and instruction to patient's and family members regarding therapeutic exercises to facilitate self-care within the limits of patient's abilities
  • Delegate tasks and supervise physical therapist assistants and technicians
  • Maintain open and ongoing communication with peers to ensure patient needs are met
  • Accurate and timely documentation of observations and evaluations

Skills and Qualifications - we know you have them!

  • Current PT license in the state of practice
  • Home Health experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently
  • Time management skills
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record and reliable automobile
  • Proof of current automobile insurance
  • Criminal background check clearance/fingerprint clearance
  • Current CPR certification

Physical Requirements - to strengthen others!

Requires considerable physical effort most of the day including kneeling, squatting, reaching, twisting, climbing, walking, exposure to temperature and humidity changes and maximal assist in lifting and/or transferring of a 100-pound patient. Must possess sight/hearing senses or use appropriate adaptive devices that will enable senses to function at a level required to meet essential duties of this position.


Mental Requirements - you went to school for this!

Must be able to work independently, make judgments based on assessments and data available and act accordingly. Must be flexible, innovative and possess good interpersonal skills. Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress and demonstrate emotional stability.


Working Environment - there will be snacks!

Works indoors in agency office and patient homes/care facilities; travel to and from patients is required.
