JOB TITLE:   

Engineering Student Internship

JOB PURPOSE:   

Students will obtain valuable experience in an engineering office. This is a part-time non-benefited position and students should be interested in working at least 10 hours a week during the spring and fall semesters with full-time summer employment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Provides coordination of projects from the inception of estimate through project completion for construction and remodeling projects; manages projects within designated project budget amount, typically $500 to $50,000, and secures authorization for project budget adjustments.  Provides support and coordination to the Facilities Construction and Utilities Management groups.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:

This position is not eligible for remote work.

This position is suitable for a flexible work schedule. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

Education:Current UW Student
Experience:Engineering and/or project management experience preferred
Other requirements:

-Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) that is compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy found at: https://www.uwyo.edu/risk/_files/docs/offical-vehicle-policy.pdf

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WITH:

• ENGINEERING MAJORS (JUNIOR/SENIOR STANDING)
• CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT MAJORS (JUNIOR/SENIOR STANDING)
• WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF AUTODESK AutoCAD & REVIT, ArcGIS
• TECHNICAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS
