Job Overview:
Join our team as a Program Administrator and play a pivotal role in shaping the Mindful Prisons program. We’re looking for a dynamic individual who can effectively coordinate operations, manage teams, and drive program success in our organization. As the backbone of our initiative, you will ensure that every facet of the program is streamlined, impactful, and aligned with our mission to foster mindfulness within prison environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Management: Take charge of all operational aspects of the Mindful Prisons program, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to goals. Manage activities, oversee budgets, and lead critical fundraising efforts.
  • Standards and Practices: Continuously assess and elevate our program standards and practices to enhance delivery and effectiveness.
  • Scheduling Excellence: Craft and maintain a detailed program calendar. Adapt schedules and reorganize tasks as needed to meet evolving program demands.
  • Team Development: Provide robust support and coaching to team members, enhancing their skills and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Problem Resolution: Tackle challenges head-on to prevent disruptions, ensuring the program progresses smoothly.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all program activities comply with California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) regulations.
  • Reporting and Improvement: Regularly prepare detailed reports on program status and challenges. Innovate and suggest enhancements, and conceptualize new program ideas.

Requirements:

  • Proven Expertise: Solid experience in coordination or a similar role, with a strong grasp of budgeting and fundraising strategies.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Well-versed in CDCR operations and regulations.
  • Facilitation Skills: Knowledgeable in leading group facilitation processes.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using Google Suite for various administrative tasks.
  • Leadership and Organization: Exceptional organizational and leadership capabilities.
  • Communication: Outstanding communication skills, capable of engaging and inspiring others.
  • Problem Solving: Aptitude for identifying solutions and navigating challenges effectively.
  • Mindfulness Practice: A well-established meditation or mindfulness practice is essential.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
